Venice Travel Inspiration
Venice Inspiration Trip, as we move from spring into summer, I am reflecting on the summer I had last year, I was fortunate to have been able to make a few trips to Europe and one of my Favourite trips was to the city of Venice. My first visit, I have to admit, I can’t believe it was my first visit. I can understand why so many visits Venice, its simply beautiful, and it’s been frequented by many great artists over the centuries, One of my Favourite Painters, Monet visited Venice just once in 1908, however his series of Venice paintings Exquisite.
While in Venice, I found my self wondering around the many narrow streets, hopping on and off the shuttle boats which go up and down the canals dropping you off at different piers around Venice. There were many highlights to my trips, To narrow them down, I would have to first mention the Peggy Guggenheim Gallery from its vast collection of well knows artists, from Picasso to Alexander Calder, you are surrounded by inspiration. I had timed my trip well and had the opportunity to visit the Venice Biennale. The level of work was outstanding, with a large international contribution and presence, the vast amount of work was overwhelming,
While it was my first ever trip, I could not help myself by participating in much of the usual tourist activities you would normally partake in while being in Venice, from visiting St Marks Square and watching the world go by, Taking water busses around Venice, walking around the many narrows streets and canals, walking up and down bridges, taking in breathtaking beautiful views of the architecture and canals, the list is endless. One thing I do know for certain, I have caught the Venice bug and I would like to go back a few more times if not every year if that possible.
