Digital illustration Kellogg’s Advertising All Bran Butterflies
I collaborated with the creative design advertising agency Leoburnett, on an advertising campaign for Kellogg’s All Bran Butterflies Commission. This campaign, featuring digital illustrations, was destined for print in Italy. The primary objective of this illustration project was to create five distinctive and uniquely colored butterflies, strategically positioned around the navel of a woman.
The symbolism of butterflies gracefully encircling the woman’s navel was intended to convey the delicate nature of the digestive system. Kellogg’s All-Bran, renowned for its high fibre content, plays a vital role in promoting healthy digestion.
In crafting these five butterflies, I aimed to capture their fragile and intricate qualities, ensuring that they appeared as if fluttering gently around the woman’s navel. To achieve this effect, I conducted in-depth research into the flight patterns and characteristics of butterflies. Drawing inspiration from nature, I meticulously designed the Kellogg’s butterflies, infusing them with similar lifelike attributes. Additionally, I was tasked with creating butterflies that emulated the appearance of tattoos, but in a subtle and delicate manner.
To meet this requirement, I incorporated a wealth of intricate details into each butterfly’s design, with a multitude of shapes adorning their wings. This meticulous attention to detail not only gave the butterflies a sense of density and realism but also imparted a sense of life and vitality to these delicate creatures. The resulting illustrations beautifully conveyed the essence of Kellogg’s All-Bran, symbolizing both the product’s high-fibre benefits and its contribution to digestive health.
