Hand Drawing Costa Coffee Mural Westfield White City London
“We Create Clarity,” a design agency located in Bedfordshire, approached me for a unique project: the creation of two large wall murals for their client, Costa Coffee, as part of a renovation project for the Costa Coffee shop situated in Westfield, White City, London.
The first mural assignment was to illustrate a captivating London cityscape. This artwork showcased iconic London landmarks, including the London Eye and the Ritz, as well as typical residential and shop-front buildings that grace London’s bustling streets. The focal point of this illustration was the inaugural Costa Coffee shop, situated near Southwark Bridge, serving as a historical touchstone.
For the second mural, the spotlight turned to the front of the Costa Coffee shop, featuring vibrant scenes of people immersed in their daily routines and relishing their coffee experiences. The project also required incorporating elements related to food, highlighting the cafĂ©’s commitment to offering fresh food alongside its coffee.
I meticulously crafted these mural wall illustrations using a fine liner ink pen, ensuring that every detail of each location was accurately captured. Upon completing the drawings, I expertly composed them digitally using Photoshop. The London cityscape provided a breathtaking backdrop for the illustrations, framed by an illustrative depiction of a lively street scene. While the majority of the mural retained a classic black and white aesthetic, key elements were thoughtfully accentuated to create an eye-catching and visually captivating masterpiece.
