MTV has sashayed into the world of women’s fashion, The mission; to live beyond the television screen and credibly break into the High Street transporting the brand into a new space.
There will be 2 female fashion style guides (S/S 2010 and A/W 2010 guide) MTV. London based design agency The Gild have developed an overarching story that has four themes underneath it, each theme will create a collection. For each of the four themes a series of illustrations/elements from which you can build different compositions to put onto apparel. The same story and themes will be used for both seasons but they will require different illustrations and colorways.
The Grace collection, illustrated by myself is positioned as ’a secret garden in a girl’s imagination’, according to The Gild, where nature can be explored ’with charm and innocence’. Digital and hand-drawing techniques have contributed to a layering effect.
