Mehendi Floral Mothers Day Greeting Card

A Mehendi Floral Mothers Day Greeting Card. I like designing cards, esp to hand out to family and friends. I guess I should really set up an online shop, now that I have been designing quite a few cards recently.

This Mothers day card was inspired by traditional mehndi designs. I created the floral artwork taking inspirations from Mehendi motifs I had seen and researched from a past book cover illustration. I created the simple motif artwork, which I pieced together in adobe illustrator 5, as an A5 greeting card format. The happy Mothers day type, I had drawn with my Wacom tablet. The process involved sketching the letters to make up the words and adjusting the shape and lines using the pen tool and bezier handles of the Adobe Illustrator programme.

The greeting cards were successful, I had a handful of friends see my social network links about it, and a few of those friends kindly bought a card from me. I am hopeful that the cards were appreciated and enjoyed.
