High life Summer Article Illustration
I have been working with Cedar Communication design agency based in London, who design and publish a number of high-end magazines of which some of their clients include High Life Magazine.
The illustration was commissioned for a product and beauty page. It’s all about tropical creams and fragrances, The concept for the illustration was to create a central image of a tropical flower winding its way around the product, the products need to look more stylish, with a lot more detail created to define and make the products stand out from one another.
I was sent the products in the post, which I then photographed here in my studio, I captured the details of the products which included the bottle and pots as well as the product labels. Using Photoshop, I converted the images to black and white and worked on defining the information, this process makes it easy to trace the photos, using the trace tool inside Adobe Illustrator,
The trace Tool converts the black and white product images into vector artworks, which I will then use the different images and the tropical flower together to compose the artwork which illustrates the article of the magazine.
