Moleskine Sketchbook inky Venice

Moleskine Sketchbook inky Map Drawing of Venice, On my trip to Venice, I set out to explore one of the most romantic cities in the world. Known for its art, architecture, and culture, it has been referred to as the ‘most beautiful city built by man’ – so, of course, I had to see it for myself.
During my day in Venice, I visited five locations:

• Grand Canal: Lined with over 170 buildings that date from the 13th to the 18th century, the Grand Canal is a major water-traffic corridor in Venice.
• Santa Maria Della Salute: Completed in 1681, is a stunning piece of architecture. It features a unique octagonal shape and the dome of the church is a major feature of the Venetian skyline – inspiring painters like Canaletto, Francesco Guardi, and John Singer Sargent.
• Basilica De San Marco: The best-known church in Venice, St. Mark’s Basilica is one of the most prominent examples of Italo-Byzantine architecture. Its gold mosaics give the cathedral its opulent look, earning it the nickname Chiesa d’Oro (Church of Gold).
• Rialto Bridge: The Rialto Bridge is one of four bridges that span the Grand Canal. Lined with shops, the bridge provides stunning views of the city and has become an architectural icon in Venice.
• San Marco Campanile: Standing 98.6 meters tall, St Mark’s Campanile is one of the most recognizable pieces of architecture in Venice. It has inspired the designs of many other towers around the world in cities like Seattle, Toronto, and Brisbane.
