Reverting to Type Stand Point Gallery
I happened to walk by and popped into the Standpoint Gallery, in Shoreditch London today, Exhibiting contemporary Letterpress, (Reverting to Type). The exhibition is curated by Graham Bignell of New North Press and Graphic designer Richard Ardagh and features prints and publications by progressive practitioners from around the world.
The Reverting to Type exhibition at the Stand Point Gallery had a great range and depth of different examples of typography. A wealth of typefaces and printing techniques used by the typographic designer’s aficionados. Reverting to Type aims to highlight the Forward-thinking creatives at the helm of the current resurgence of interest in letterpress; from computer-based designers with an interest to apply a different craft with a tactile look and feel that has been lost with modern technology, to traditional presses finding a new way to revitalize their design output.
If you are a fan of typography pop along, you will not be let down a lot of brilliant and great work by typographers.
