The final creation demanded precision and accuracy, while simultaneously beckoning viewers with its visual allure. To achieve this, the journey began with a foundational sketch, meticulously crafted with reference images as guiding beacons. As the sketch evolved, layers of texture, colour, and typography were painstakingly added to breathe life into the map. With the sketch reaching its zenith, it was tenderly scanned and any requisite refinements were deftly executed using the canvas of Photoshop.
This project unfurled as an enriching voyage, where the art of crafting a detailed and accurate map drawing was not only embraced but also celebrated. Within the strokes and contours, there emerged a personal signature, a testament to the artistry of the creator. It provided an exquisite opportunity to delve into the intricacies of cartography while weaving together the narrative of Geoffrey Bawa’s architectural genius.
