Opera Magazine USA
was commission by Oprah Magazine from the USA, which is part of the Oprah brand, to create a full-page cover illustration for the front of the magazine as a book page that would open up into a style guide/shopping deals package. The illustration incorporates beauty, fashion, and home icons within my an intricate decorative pattern style.
The stylised icons I created for the Oprah Magazine included the following: lipstick, compact mirror, high heels, necklaces, rings, dresses, hats, makeup brushes, lamps, side tables, vase, chairs, etc. All of these items spoke of home, beauty, and fashion, which was the main aim of the magazine section
Unfortunately, this illustration for Oprah Magazine was cancelled as the editor decided to take the concept in another direction. These things happen, I still, however, enjoyed creating the illustration.
