Modern Courtesan
Modern Courtesan commissioned me to create a new logo for their lingerie brand. I discussed ideas and concepts with Kelly Isaac the owner of Modern Courtesan, and I was shown the latest lingerie pieces from the collection, which helped to understand the brand further. The vision for the brand was sexy, playful, and modern, incorporating lust, love life. My initial ideas and brain storming developed into a key idea. The key represents secrecy and playfulness behind locked doors where you can let your inhibitions and desires to take over and realize your innermost fantasies.
I decided to use a script typeface, the script typeface I choose has a feminine look, the lines swoop and curve, almost like a female form. I sketched an intricate and delicate key, the emphasis that it should look like a key had to be an important factor while at the same time having a sexy feel to it. The intricate lines flow from the letters M and C and develop into a key emblem. The word lust is placed at the front end of the key and is designed to connect in a delicate way with soft lines to the M and C of the Modern Courtesan logo initials.
Kelly Isaac was very happy with my logo design. I look forward to seeing the logo become a great success for the brand Modern Courtesan.
