Halloween Vector Icon Forest Scene

Halloween is once again nearly upon us. Its one-day in the year this unusual day comes around where we try and scare ourselves and those around us, It’s one of the reasons I choose to create a special Halloween vector icon illustration.

I started illustrating recognizable Halloween imagery that most of us have come to symbolize Halloween with such as bats, spiders, pumpkins, the moon, stars, thorns, cobwebs, and creepy trees. Once I illustrated the stylised Halloween image, I started the illustration by creating the tree, which would hold the illustration together as a composition. Around the tree, I created and placed the foliage, which made up a border around the Halloween illustrations, which were placed within the tree and foliage border.

The silhouette style Halloween imagery is placed over a water brushed background which I created. I could have created something which was similar to digital artwork, however, I like the grain of the cartridge paper which comes through once it was scanned into photoshop.
