Go Southern Railway

I was approached by Beetroot agency and commissioned to create an illustration for Go Southern Railways magazine. The illustration was to a company an article entitled ‘Spring Break’ – which aims to inform readers of a range of places and events that will be ideal attractions to visit as the weather warms up. These will include attractions that are local to stations on the Southern network and others abroad, with the Gatwick Express also running from stations on the network.

The Illustration incorporates floral colorful illustration that suggests the blooming of nature in its fauna and has icons and images of places of interest and attractions written about within the article. All image iconography was carefully placed together. I like to minimize as much of the elements do not overlap, however, bring all pieces of the artwork as close together to create a cohesive artwork.

The Illustration and magazine are available at most railway stations this month, grab yourself a copy, and go on a journey, or if you’re so inclined maybe go on a visual illustrative journey, whilst having your feet grounded, that way you don’t have to travel to far.
