Galaxy Mistletoe Kiss
TBWA commission, follow up illustration for the galaxy to advertise a new chocolate bar Galaxy Mistletoe Kiss for Christmas printed in Metro News Paper. The illustration was briefed with a similar look and detail to the original four Galaxy chocolate illustrations which were created earlier this year.
The new brief for the Christmas illustration was to include recognisable Christmas icons. the illustration detail included bells and holly motifs which created the feel of Xmas. I took reference from the original four illustrations, by creating the intricate structure of the branch vine artwork first which was created symmetrically. Each thin line and vine was created inside of illustrator and carefully individually placed using my Wacom pen tablet, within illustrator. Once the symmetrical base structure was designed, I started to places the Xmas icons on to the branches.
I was very pleased to see the illustration printed inside of the Metro newspaper, I think the illustration was well-conceived and the clients TBWA were also very happy with the Xmas galaxy illustration.
