Colourful Vector Badges

I Created the above badges. I used a range of vector artworks from my archive to create the 4 badge vector silhouette prints. The prints are bold and playful and created with simple shapes in mind, I choose to create simple shapes rather than intricate illustrations which were more detailed due to the size of the badges which were 2.5cm in diameter, where intricate detail would have been lost upon. The bold simple shapes and colour will catch someone’s eye a lot easier than a detailed print.

I took inspiration from a great little book title ‘Badge, Button, Pin’ The book has the weather of little badge designs to draw inspiration from.  A guide to the best and most thoughtfully designed badges being produced by current designers, textual or plain or illustrative this book explores the rich wealth and interesting uses of the badge since the year 2000 whether it be a promotion, raising revenue or simply decorative fro fashion. It will appeal to graphic designers, illustrators, fashion designers, artists, music lovers and badge enthusiasts of all ages.
