Perfumes Society sought to commission a meticulously detailed map of London to complement an upcoming event they were hosting. This project aimed to produce a comprehensive map of London that predominantly featured East, Central, and parts of West London. The primary objective was to create a map that was not only visually engaging but also highly functional, allowing users to easily navigate and plan their journeys within the city.
The London illustrated map boasts an array of hand-drawn landmarks, each intricately detailed to capture their unique characteristics. Among these iconic landmarks are The Shard, The Gherkin, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and The London Eye. Additionally, the map employs a creative use of hand-drawn typography to highlight different areas of the city. These typographic elements are seamlessly integrated into the map’s design, enhancing both its aesthetic appeal and usability.
To further enhance the map’s functionality, it includes a key that highlights prominent shopping locations and department stores within London’s well-known shopping districts. This key is conveniently printed on the back of the map for easy reference. Another practical feature of the map is its foldable design, allowing users to carry and store it with ease.
The map served as part of a boxed gift set provided to event attendees. Alongside the map, guests received perfume samples, creating a delightful and memorable experience. This map not only captured the essence of London’s iconic landmarks but also fulfilled a practical purpose, making it an ideal companion for both locals and visitors navigating the vibrant streets of the city.
