Learning a New Skill, 3D Modelling Using 3DSMax, Roller Skates

I Have been taking some time out to learn how to 3D model, here is a model of a pair of roller skates I have been working on. I enjoy working on new skills, and I have been interested in 3D for some time. It’s a very creative medium, I like the fact that you can take your designs much further then you could with 2D and add a completely different dimension to it. Beyond modelling your design, you can also manipulate the materials and lighting. I am still learning how to work with 3DS Max, and it is very challenging to understand the design package because there is a lot of functionality you have to familiarise yourself with from the modelling tools to the materials and lighting, however, I think the new 3D dimension has a lot of potentials.
