London Map Drawing
The London City map is an illustrated map that covers Holland Park up in North West London down to Putney down in South West London, Across to South East London and we are in leafy East Dulwich and back up in Central London you would be well placed in the Financial Centre of London city. Within the map, you will recognise some well known London locations such as The London Eye, Battersea Power station, Brixton Academy, Victoria & Albert Museum, Buckingham Palace, Tate Modern, and St Pauls Catedral. I have also added locations that are not as well know which include the some of the following, Dulwich Velodrome, Elephant and Castle statue, Camberwell Submarine, Clapham Common bandstand, and St Mary’s church in Battersea.
Within this map, my goal was to illustrate a tightly condensed map that combined London landmarks, the area locations typographically represented as well as the names of the locations in a scripted font. I wanted to showcase the gems of London in an easy to read a map that could be used to navigate and plan a visit to London a location and enjoy the area.
The map is a loose representation of London, with the locations overlayed over the major roads of London and the River Thames running through the middle of the map as a key identifier for navigating this London map.
