Hand drawn Moleskine sketchbook drawings
I had a little free time while traveling on the train today, I started to draw in my Moleskine sketchbook, with nothing clear in my mind, however, things started to develop quickly and I drew some leaves which became a loose forest background setting. I had the idea of drawing a bird character based on the bird from the Disney movie UP, I had watched The Disney movie not too long ago with my nephew, I focused on the how the bird looked from memory, the long legs were firmly at the forefront of my mind. The rest of the drawing fell together rather easily, with the beak and body having theirs on characteristic shape. I wanted to exaggerate the shape of the bird and draw it very differently from anything from real life.
The inky eye drawing I started, inspired by my own vector line style, I used the line drawing because it’s easier and a quick way to sketch. The eye incorporating wavy stylised lines as eyelashes was a thought and idea I am planning to create as a vector artwork in illustrator.
