Here is a selection of vector line drawing I have been working on, I created these work using my A4 Wacom tablet, all the vector lines are hand drawn and then adjusted in illustrator. The selection of illustrations above have been taken from the sketch phase I work on before moving onto 3D quilling illustration work.

You can view the quilling style clicking on the link, however  I chose not to show the end process, because its a very different style from that of which most of my blog followers know of. The vector line drawing stage is close to my original vector line drawing style. I use the wacom tablet to draw each individual line, as you can see from the examples of work above. the lines swoop and curve as well as intersect each other this is a characteristic of this particular style. I also enjoy working of the typography which can form the bases of being a integral part of the illustration.

This style is very much in the development stage. I hope to create more of it moving forward.

Vector Line Illustrator Art

Calligraphy Style

I enjoy calligraphy, and its a style I use in my work, however with the above 2 Vector Line Illustrator Art illustrations, I recently created, I focused on the line, and how I could use the line to create recognisable shapes and forms created simply by using just a line. I was intrigued by how I could use the line to create swopping shapes that overlapped each other, even though the lines overlap, they become patterns in their own way.

The above 2 vector line drawing were created using my Wacom tablet in Adobe Illustrator, using the pen tool, I drew the lines and adjusted the shapes to create the humming bird flower sketch, and the cycling mountain scene. I drew on my strengths, hand drawing lines, which are stylised swooping lines, intersecting shapes and forms.
