Vector Floral Pattern Hidden Wild World
Vector Floral Pattern

Vector illustration floral pattern
Here is a pattern print I created using vector floral, leaf, and animal silhouettes. I adapted this pattern from a branding brief I was commissioned to create intricate patterns, which were used for the internal pages of a high quality brochure.
The concept of the pattern print was my thoughts about the hidden world and how nature and camouflage work together. Animals have a wonderful natural ability to hide away in the natural world, using the natural environment around them to camouflage them. I wanted to capture those characteristics of the hidden natural world as a vector digital illustration.
The main focus of the pattern print was the tiger. I have watched many nature documentaries some of which have been about tigers, and I drew from this memory of mine to create the patter print illustration. Tigers camouflage themselves against the long grass and dense vegetation of the jungle, to hide and hunt.
I created the tigers features using mostly leaves and flowers, and then created the illustration around the tigers features to hide the tiger in dense vector leaves and flowers in the same way they might be in the natural world tigers live in, and to emulate the way they hide.
I individually placed the stylised illustrated leaves and flowers onto the fine vector branches, the leaves, flowers and animal silhouettes overlap with the intention to create a nature scene as well as to create camouflage cover for the illustrated animals to blend into the scene.
