Crow Floral Pen and Ink Drawing
These wild animal series I have been drawing with fine liner rotring pens. The fine rotring pens create much finer detail and accuracy. The crow drawing started with the outline of the branches which I established as the core branches of the crow, the branches started from bottom of the crow up to its head. The branches I drew the fine detail of the leaves and flowers which crafted the shape and body of the crow. The tail of the crow I dense dense and with different and varied leaves to simulate the look of feathers which look which were inspired by pictures of crows I had collected as reference material for the hand drawn wild crow sketch.
Once all the elements of the illustration were drawn, I scanned the illustrations into Adobe Photoshop. I then layered the artwork and worked on the composition, some of the line work needed to be corrected, however I wanted to retain some level of raw hand drawn feel, and the corrective digital work was kept to a minimum. this is the 2nd wild animal series drawing I have completed.
