Moleskine Sketchbook inky Map Drawing of Zurich:
With diverse architecture across the city, breath-taking views and a thriving art scene, Zurich is well is well known for its banking sector and accurate Swiss time, It also has many museums and galleries to enjoy as well. During my time in this extraordinary city, I explored five destinations:
– The Grossmünster: is an Evangelical Protestant church in the Old Town of Zurich, and is one of Zurich’s most famous landmarks
– Franmunster Kirche: Founded in 853 by King Louis the German, this church with its convent was inhabited by the female members of the aristocracy of Europe. Important architectural features include the Romanesque chancel and the high vaulted transept. Its most stunning treasures are the stained glass windows
– St Peter Kirche: The St. Peter church in Zurich has the largest clock face in Europe. The clock face measures 8.7m in diameter. There are five bells dating from 1880 in the tower. Until 1911 the church tower was used as a fire watch post.
– Zurich Fountain: In Zurich, there is no need to look for a supermarket if you want a drop of water, since you can simply quench your thirst at one of Zurich’s many fountains. You can never be far away, because Zurich has the most fountains of any city in the world with approx. 1,200 drinking water fountains.
